October 18, 2011—Messe Essen – Playdek, a leading mobile video game publisher, announced today five new strategic partnerships with world-class board game developers Christophe Boelinger of Ludically, Lock n Load Publishing, Eagle Games, Gryphon Games, and Rebel Games at the International Spieltage Conference (Spiel ’11) in Messe Essen, Germany. They join the company’s other distinguished partners Gary Games, Cryptozoic Entertainment, Plaid Hat games, Lookout Games and Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG), making Playdek one of the industry’s leading providers of quality board games for the iOS and mobile platforms. Spiel ’11 attendees can test-drive playable games and meet many of Playdek’s partners at Booth 4-104, October 20-23, 2011.
Games demonstrated include Playdek’s best-selling game Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer and Food Fight, a card battle game from Cryptozoic Entertainment. In addition, new games will be previewed including Ascension: Return of the Fallen, the first in-app expansion for Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer; Summoner Wars, a fast, tactical card game from Plaid Hat Games; Alderac Entertainment Group’s Nightfall, and the Spiel des Jahres award-winning Agricola (Best Complex Game, 2008), from Lookout games. All are designed as Universal iOS applications.
