Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year, and I usually dedicate the entire month of October to horror gaming, reading, movies, and the paranormal. There are some other podcasts that I like to recommend to those looking to get into the Halloween spirit.
First and Foremost: The HP Lovecraft Literary Podcast with Chris Lackey and Chad Fifer. Each week, Chris and Chad examine an HP Lovecraft story in depth, and provide a great deal of entertainment. If you’d like to know more about the stories of HP lovecraft, or are simply interested in listening to a great podcast, I highly recommend this one.
Secondly: The Halloween Haunt podcast hosted by the Halloween Haunter (You never find out his real name) is a short podcast that discusses myths, legends, and other entertaining Halloween related facts. It is very well done and has several years of back episodes you can listen too. The a recent episode featured the story of Vlad the Impaler.
Next: The Anything Ghost Show with Lex Wahl features ghost stories submitted by listeners and read by either Lex or the listeners themselves. Lex adds his own composed haunting music and special effects and you can really hear some chilling tales on the show.
Finally: Jim Harold’s Campfire features Jim talking to liseners while they relate their own paranormal experiences. Jim treats all with respect and gentleness and many people get very emotional relating these personal experiences that they have been afraid to reveal in the past. An excellent show to listen to while going to sleep. Jim just released a book based on the stories from the show. He also does several other podcasts too like the Paranormal Podcast, UFO Podcast, and True Crime Stories.
All are great podcasts and can be found on iTunes to put you in a spooky mood.
