This may come as a surprise to most (as the ratings for both series were simply dreadful so I doubt reader were watching) but ABC has decided to pull the plug on two new series: Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue. The Thursday night rogue submarine series Last Resort, featuring Andre Braugher as the sub’s commander, was torpedoed by the network after the show’s previous episode plunged to a dismal 1.3 rating/4 share in the advertiser-cherished 18-49 demographic. So it’s off to the briny depths for that show.
666 Park Avenue, airing on Sundays, which stars Terry O’Quinn and Vanessa Williams as pseudo-demonic owners of a New York City apartment building plagued by supernatural events must have spooked network execs enough following a horrifying 1.3/3 share with its most recent airing for ABC to order an exorcism.
ABC has announced they will air all episodes which are in the can but won’t be ordering up any new episodes of either.
Have no fear though… I’m sure once the network completes airing what they have they’ll occupy those time slots with yet more reality television dreck…
