The first Pixar Animation Studios take on a fairy tale, Brave, comes to theaters this June and the final trailer has been released. Both Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar are looking to return to greatness following the lackluster performances of Toy Story 3 (an excellent film) and Cars 2 (nowhere near an excellent film) while addressing critics who have bemoaned the lack of strong female characters in previous Pixar releases. Brave features the voice talents of Kelly Macdonald (Princess Merida), Billy Connolly (King Fergus), Emma Thompson (Queen Elinor) and Craig Ferguson (Lord Macintosh).
From Disney:
Set in Scotland in a rugged and mythical time, “Brave” features Merida, an aspiring archer and impetuous daughter of royalty. Merida makes a reckless choice that unleashes unintended peril and forces her to spring into action to set things right.
